This private interactive demonstration is the perfect introduction to the magic of working with molten glass for any child age 7+.

Working side-by-side with a highly skilled artist as their instructor, your child will assist in creating two beautiful blown-glass ornaments.

Every booking includes two ornaments. Your child can make both, or share the fun: the accompanying adult can join in to make one, or your child can bring a friend so each gets to make their own. The price and 25-minute duration stay the same.

It’s completely safe, closely guided, and no experience is needed.

Here’s how it works:

Accompany your child into the hot shop and the instructor will explain each step.
Your child will chose their colours and watch the instructor as they gather and shape the molten glass.
With the instructor’s guidance, the child has the opportunity to assist in shaping the ornaments by using the foot pedal to inflate it with air. (For health and safety, we currently use an air system instead of blowing directly into the pipe.)
Finally, you and your child will watch the ornaments get reheated, finished, and placed into the kiln to cool overnight.

Cameras are more than welcome to immortalize this once-in-a-lifetime experience or new yearly tradition.

Once the glorious glass ornaments have cooled overnight, they will be ready to take home to be displayed for all to admire or given as a gift!

Please note: molten glass needs to cool down slowly overnight in a controlled oven. You will be able to pick up your glass item(s) on any subsequent Saturday between 1PM and 3PM.

"one place remaining" means the class is open for registration; a single registration can be made, which allows for up to two participants.
