Private Glassblowing Lessons
In Private Glassblowing Lessons, students will be introduced to the necessary tools and techniques required to gather, shape, and inflate molten glass. Using traditional techniques, students will have the opportunity to create paperweights, ornaments, vases and bowls. Please note: work created will be dependent on how many students are in your lesson and the skill levels of those students.
- Lessons are 2.5 hr in length, accommodating one or two students.
- Available start times: 8:30am / 11:30am / 2:30pm / 5:30pm / 8:30pm.
- Pricing: $437.50 + HST per lesson
Led by an OGC member and experienced glassblower, the course emphasizes safety protocols for navigating the hot shop studio and emphasizes the importance of collaborative teamwork. Some cold working instruction may be provided, as well as basic use of colour.
Our GB1: Introduction to Glassblowing course curriculum can be accomplished in six private lessons.
Students wishing to share a lesson must find their own partner and arrange cost sharing directly between themselves.
