Ottawa Glassblowing Co-op Event CalendarSaturday Pick-Up Shifts:
We are open for students to come and pick up their creations on Saturdays from 1PM - 3PM. These shifts are covered by Members who volunteer.
During your shift, you’ll find the class items in the hot shop. They are in tall cabinets with labelled bins for each class.
Since this time is publicly listed as open hours, you might also be asked questions or simply act as a welcoming face of the co-op.

Hot Shop Rental:

Rental rate: $48.40 + HST per hour
You must be an approved OGC member to sign-up. Pre-booking is required. There are 5 blow slots per day, each is 2.5 hrs. Start times are 8:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm and there is a 30 min break in between for clean up. If you book consecutive blow slots, you will not be charged for the 30 min in between. Blow slots include the use of the glory hole and a shared kiln. You will be invoiced monthly for rental time. Payment is due within 30 days.
Cold Shop Rental:

If your piece was made at OGC, rental includes use of the cold shop to finish those pieces. If it was made elsewhere, you may rent the cold shop for $20/hr once you have been oriented to the shop. Please email the Studio Techs at studioOGC@gmail.com to register.

- users must have taken a Cold Shop Orientation.
Member Storage Rental:
Full Shelf: 36”W x 18”D x 15”H price = $120
Half 18”W x 18”D x 15”H = $60
Locker = $75Shelf and Locker rental is for OGC members only. Rental is billed annually at the start of the year and pro-rated for rentals starting after that. All tools, materials and work are used or left on the shelf at the member’s risk. Abandoned shelves become property of the Co-op after three months of non-payment.
