Become a Member
Membership is required to use the facilities at the OGC. We welcome all people of any skill level who are interested in pursuing an interest in the glass arts. We are an inclusive community that welcomes and values a diversity of people in its membership.
GB1 - Intro to Glassblowing
This six week introductory course provides a basic foundation to the art of glassblowing. Using specialized tools and equipment, students will learn to gather, shape and inflate the molten glass. Later forms in the series move towards transferring and opening up vessels.
GB2 - The Next Step
Ready to take your glassblowing to the next level? During this four week course, you’ll have more practice time with both basic and more involved forms, trails and lip wraps, handles and bits and solid colour application, as well as learn about equipment, cold working, and hot shop studio safety.
